IS CHRISTIANITY NOT A RELIGION? Let’s Discuss?

IS CHRISTIANITY NOT A RELIGION?

The Bible in John 3:35 Explain two positions or two types of Christians, both of the are said to be born the act. Verse three says, “except a man be born again, he can not see the kingdom of God. While verse five says, “except a man be born of water and of the Holy Spirit, he can not enter the kingdom of God.”

This means that when one accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, he has become a born again and is called a christian, but at this level one is still ignorant of the kingdom of God because he have not yet enter the kingdom properly.

One only see the kingdom as something futuristic, something religious and something that is not accessible.
It’s Like one is a registered member seeking for identification. One’s mind at this level is full of do’s and don’t s. But when you are born of water and of the Spirit, your mind
is renewed through the knowledge of God’s word. Your spirit Is reconnected to the spirit of God. This qualified you to be called
a believer or son of God. At this stage, you are living with the full understanding of your citizenship in the kingdom of God and have entered into the kingdom once more and a father-son relationship has been established between you and God.

When you are in God you are automatically in his kingdom. The act of born of water and of the Spirit gives the original passport of heaven as a citizen not a registered member, as a king not a slave, as a of God who has been redeemed through Jesus Christ; not as a servant who is trying to reach God through religious efforts,
The Lord never intended that those who believe in Jesus as Lord and king to be referred to as christians, even though am not against the fact that the believer is called a christian.

But the problem is that, it was likely the non-believers who first gave the reference to their understanding of religious organizations etc.
The word Christian has too much baggage attached to it. It refers to a whole host of people and some of them have no connection to God’s kingdom at all. The word has become a religious term devoid
of any significant meaning as it relates to the kingdom of God.

Brief Explanation

Kingdom are build upon the concept of legalities which extends to its citizens offering them the rights and privileges that
are guranrteed by the king. Religion reduces citizens to mere members of a religious organization. However, the concept of kingdom is completely different and opposite to the concept of religion. Each kingdom consists of a king with citizens.

Citizenship is essentially a legal entity with rights and privileges protected by a constitutional commitment of the king and his government So many christians are simply religious people, but citizens of the kingdom are legal people; legal in the sense that by virtue of a Spiritual birth each individual in the kingdom has the rights and blessings of citizen of his heavenly kingdom.

We must be delivered from our religious mind sets and have our thinking readjusted so that we can take on a legal mindset.
Religious people have no rights but citizens do. God has always desired sons who are citizens of his kingdom. Possessing the legal rights to be part of his family.

Citizenship is always considered a privilege in all kingdoms and nations and is usually reserved for those who are born into
that nation or kingdom. Even though there are special situations where one can become a citizen through privileges extended by the governing authority. In Jesus, these precious rights are conferred to everyone who trusts in him. Philippians 3:20-21; John 8:31-36; John 1:12-13.
The term ‘Christian’ occurs only 3 times in the entire scriptures and none in the four gospels: Acts 11:26;26:28-29, 1Pet. 4:16-17.

The term tends to mentally lock a person into a religious mold and limits the reality of the truth about the kingdom.
Christianity was never a term given to us by neither Jesus nor the apostles. Christianity was never to be a title nor label that we wore, but a life style that we live in the spirit’s culture, demonstrating the
nature of Christ-likeness, christianity was supposed to be a description of the culture of the kingdom being exhibited through
our lives. This is why the first believers were called christians by the early observers of their lifestyle, their boldness and their Christ-like authority,

We should stop trying to live like ‘Christians’ and all the false assumptions associated with that, and instead enjoy the
sweetness of living as sons and daughters of God, brothers and sisters of Christ, and citizens of the kingdom of heaven. God’s
purpose was to establish relationship not religion. Jesus’ purpose for coming was much more than christianity. If we are called christians, let’s have this mentality that we are not bearing christianity as religious members but as kingdom citizens living the life that Jesus wanted us to live.

RELIGION IS A DECEIT

You must realize that religion preoccupies you in order to distract you from your emptiness and hunger for the kingdom,
Religion can not take man to heaven, heaven has come down to man. Thank Jesus who unveils and announces the problem and the solution for mankind’s dilemma in a simple statement:

“Blessed are the poor in Spirit, for their is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for Righteousness for they will be filled”. (Matt. 5:3-7).

Religion is a deceiver. It promises taking people to heaven, of which it can’t. Only Jesus is the way, but the devil will make sure people fix their eyas on religion instead of on Jesus. Religion is man’s effort towards reaching God but christianity is God coming down to reach man from heaven. Therefore, the kingdom is coming down to man for which man was saved. (Ephesians 2:8-9).

If this is understood, why then do people have to kill, fight, hate, get involve in set-ups, blackmails gang ups, etc. In honor and
promotion of religion? Religion represent every activity of mankind in his self-centered search for God, all religions are
useless because they express mankind’s vain frustrating pursuit to recover what he lost. Religion is the strongest tool that satan is using to buy time to remain illegally on the throne that belongs to
man.

Man must realize that he did not lost a religion or heaven but a kingdom.
In God’s restoration and redemptive program, his primary focus or goal for man is re-establishment of his kingdom on earth.

Jesus’ assignment was to reintroduce the kingdom of God on earth. He preached it and demonstrated its power and reality
through the signs and wonders he performed. Jesus completed his mission by his death on the cross, offering his blood as a cleansing power to remove the influence and effects of sin in our lives. This cleansing makes us prepared to
receive the Holy Spirit who wil connect us to the kingdom of God.

In our fallen state, we were helpless, nothing that we might do in our own power would be sufficient to restore us back to God’s favour and our former position. We needed help that only God could provide. That is why God sent Jesus Christ the second Adam to undo the curse brought upon mankind by the first Adam. Only a
superior force can overcome the power and dominion of Satan.

The only way you can access your citizenship in the kingdom is by signing over your life from the system of this world
by accepting the fact that you are a helpless sinner, who needs mercy and salvation that can only be found in God through Jesus Christ who paid the price of the kingdom for you and forgave your
sins, making you qualified for it.

Every true Church of Christ is an embassy of the kingdom of heaven and every true believer is an ambassador of Christ. God’s
chosen strategy for proclaiming his kingdom on earth was to deploy ambassadors on earth. An ambassador is a political appointee whose job is to represent and speak for his government
before the rulers of other countries. In the eyes of those rulers, the words of ambassador are the words of the government that he represents.

Good ambassadors never speak their opinions but only the official policies of the government that appointed and sent them. In the same way, the people of God are his ambassadors on earth. (2 Cor.5:20).
